Robert Pattinson gets sexy with Uma Thurman

The Twilight heartthrob stars alongside Uma in steamy new thriller Bel Ami - which includes a rumoured on-screen kiss

Twilight hearttrob Robert Pattinson is set to star alongside Uma Thurman in steamy new thriller Bel Ami.

It's a whole world away from Edward Cullen.

Rob takes on the role of a bad-boy soldier-turned-journalist in the flick, opposite the statuesque Miss Thurman - and it's rumoured that the plot involves an on-screen smooch between the pair, though nothing has yet been confirmed.

Robert has previously said that the lead female in the movie ‘needs to be literally inspirational.'

Bel Ami is based on the 19th century novel by Guy De Maupassant, and is also set to star Christina Ricci as a promiscuous young housewife, as well as Kristin Scott Thomas.

The novel centres around the life of a Parisian ex-soldier, Georges Duroy (played by Pattinson), and his attempts to climb the ranks of French society by seducing women.

‘The plot of the movie is not being released just yet,' says Uma's rep.

‘They are planning on doing the film Bel Ami in London.'

So, Twilight fans, with filming due to start next month, R-Pattz looks set to be spending a considerable amount of time in the Capital in the not-too-distant future...

But one thing's for sure, Bel Ami is one film we'll definitely be first in line to see!
