In news which we promise isn’t your hungover from the weekend eyes deceiving you, Princes William and Harry are set to appear in the next Star Wars film.
Yup, the currently untitled film, which is due for release in December 2017, will feature the two princes as Stormtroopers, amazing, according to the Mail on Sunday.
But rather than go through rounds of rigorous auditions for the coveted roles, William and Harry had the parts sprung on them during a set visit to Pinewood Studios.
‘The line given was that they were going to have lunch and a private tour of the rest of the set. What really happened is that the director came over and told them it was time to “get suited” and off they went to the wardrobe department,’ revealed a source.
And do go thinking the royals just hung around in the background looking like ninnies in white costumes, they actually got in on some major Stormtrooper action.
‘The Princes dressed up in full Stormtrooper gear and filmed a scene in which Rey and Finn infiltrate a secret base. The rebel characters are in a lift with Benicio del Toro’s character when a group of Stormtroopers enter – two of whom are William and Harry.’

This isn’t the first time there’s been a surprise cameo in the massive movie franchise, in December’s The Force Awakens, Daniel Craig made an appearance as a Stormtrooper. He was listed in the credits as Stormtrooper 007 in a nod to his James Bond role.
Our money’s on Stormtrooper HRH 1 and 2.
Besides from meeting cast and crew, including Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Mark Hamill and Benicio del Toro, the brothers also got to battle it out with lighsabers. Harry, who was given a red one joked, ‘Why do I always have to be the baddie?’, while Daisy Ridley took the time to appreciate the latest Star Wars recruits. ‘The minute you see someone with a lighsbaber, you just think, “They’re one of us.”’
Check out the video below of Prince William meeting Chewbacca, it really is quite surreal.
