'She is very thankful to her security team and the police for their swift and diligent response.'
Despite being terrified by the incident,Paris still found time to take to Twitter, to alert followers to the breaking news.
Calmed by the police presence, the star snapped a picture of the intruder being handcuffed, and taken away by cops.
‘So Scary, just got woken up to a guy trying to break into my house holding 2 big knifes. Cops are here arresting him,’ she wrote, alongside the snap.
This is not the first time Paris has been troubled by a knife-wielding man. Just last year, the star was forced to hire extra security, after a stalker forced his way into her father’s office, claiming to be her fiancé.
'I’ve had a lot of stalker incidents, and I usually can handle them,’ she revealed at the time.
'But the scariest one was when a guy turned up at my dad’s office and said he was my fiancé . He forced his way inside and the cops discovered he had a knife on him. That was freaky.
'Now I have a lot of security all the time so I feel safe. I guess that’s one of the things you have to learn to live with, but it’s still scary.'
