So relatable

There are so many things that pregnant women fear: not being able to find clothes that fit, not having access to a toilet, giving birth, losing sleep, actually raising a human, etc. forever. As for Natalie Portman, she revealed her biggest pregnancy fear, and it’s something all pregnant women (and even non-pregnant humans) completely understand.

She’s afraid of not having access to food.

If you’ve been pregnant, you totally get that leaving your house is risky if you don’t eat as much as you can before you go, bring snacks with you, or know with complete certainty that wherever you’re going will be serving food you’ll want to eat. Because growing a human makes you hungry AF.

Portman stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday, and since she’s deep into her third trimester, the pregnancy questions were inevitable. Jimmy Kimmel’s wife Molly McNearney is pregnant with their second child, and he revealed that she basically eats like she’s in a hot dog eating contest all the time, so he wanted to know if Portman is as into eating as his wife currently is.

'I feel like I get a little panicky about food availability,' Portman said. 'Like, if I’m going somewhere, I’m like, "Will they have something that I will want to eat at that point?" So before I go anywhere, I’ll have a plate of pancakes or, like, a veggie burger or whatever, just to be prepared.'

She noted that at Sunday night’s SAG awards, there was food available to her, but she didn’t need to eat it, because she ate before she left home. We would have done the exact same thing, except we definitely would have eaten twice. Because food.
