The songstress has announced that she and boyfriend Sam Cooper are expecting their first child
Lily Allen and boyfriend Sam Cooper have announced that they are expecting their first child.
The 25-year-old songstress confirmed her pregnancy to The Sun, saying: ‘It brings me great pleasure to tell you that Sam and I are expecting our first child. It goes without saying that we are both absolutely delighted.’
Allen and her builder beau, 32, reportedly told friends and family the happy news over the weekend, after a scan confirmed Lily was three-months pregnant.
The couple first started dating back in July 2009, but have been friends for years.
Lily has often spoken of her desire to have a child, and rumours that she might be expecting started doing the rounds after it was noted she did not smoke or drink at last month’s Wireless festival, and she pulled out of an appearance at Benacassim.
In December 2007, she announced that she had fallen pregnant by then boyfriend Ed Simons, but sadly suffered a miscarriage.
