Lena Dunham Just Had To Defend Her New Workout Routine: 'Being Healthy Isn't Anti-Feminist'

Can you believe that Lena Dunham just had to defend being healthy?
Lena Dunham recently embarked on a healthy workout regime. The Girls star is even doing the A-list favourite Tracy Anderson Method, which is made up of simple steps that she says 'look easy, but are torturous.'
The actress has also been trying out AcroYoga, as the death-defying (not quite, but they impressive) acrobatic moves she's been posting on her Instagram page will attest.
Good for her, you're probably thinking. Strong body, strong mind... and all that. Well, not everyone has been so supportive of Lena's new lifestyle choice. After her recent interview on the The Late Show With David Letterman she felt the need to defend her newfound love of fitness.
The actress, who is notorious for getting naked on screen and embracing her non-Hollywood-perfect body with all its wonderful quirks, explained she was inspired to get in shape by her 65-year-old parents, who both 'look really hot' after adopting a healthy lifestyle. 'You're more than twice my age, and I look like a bag of trash next to you,' she says she told her parents.
But clearly worried that people will think she's succomb to Hollywood's idea of the perfect body and size, Lena stopped critics in their tracks by making very clear that there is nothing 'anti-feminist' about hitting the gym.
'I don’t think anyone’s gonna be like, "You look so good it’s ruined my life,'" she told People. 'There’s nothing anti-feminist about being healthy.'
