The terrified X Factor winner was caught up in a siege in LA, where men waving handguns were trying to escape the police
A terrified Leona Lewis found herself in the centre of a police drama in LA, when men holding handguns ran at her car.
The thugs were attempting to flee police following a high-speed chase, and ended up running towards the X Factor starlet and her team – who happened to have stopped for drinks at a Starbucks café nearby
Luckily, Leona’s security men intervened before any damage could be done, but the 24-year-old’s manager Nicola Carson was thrown to the ground in the chaos.
‘It was absolutely terrifying and Leona is still very shaken by what happened,’ an inside source told the Daily Mail. ‘It could have been so much worse.’
‘Leona was in her parked car when the chase came to crash around her. Two police cars had blocked off this other car. Men jumped out and suddenly these thugs waving handguns ran towards Leona.
‘LAPD cars were swarming the scene and shoppers were screaming,’ they added.
This is the second ordeal for Leona in recent months, following the her book signing attack back in October – which saw the star punched in the face by fan Peter Kowalczyk.
