K-Stew has finally revealed the reason she was drawn to the Twilight role
Comparing vampire characters Bella and Edward to ‘forbidden fruit,’ the actress admitted she can see why the steamy script appeals.
‘Vampires are very sexy,’ K-Stew admitted to Bang Showbiz.
‘I think it’s because they’re meant to draw you in just to the point where they can kill you. It’s like a forbidden fruit.
‘Maybe that’s why I was drawn to the role of Bella in Twilight,’ she added, joking: ‘I wouldn’t like to be confronted by a real vampire though, as they can read your mind!’
Last year, Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke told of how Kristen convinced her to cast Robert Pattinson in the leading male role, after experiencing sizzling chemistry during a read through with the British star.
‘Kristen was like, ‘It’s got to be Rob!”’ she said, explaining how she gave Mr Pattinson the part only after a stern talking to about the age of his new co-star.
‘You’ve got to realise that Kristen is 17 years old,’ Catherine revealed she told Rob, who’s four years K-Stew’s senior.
‘She’s underage. You’ve got to focus, dude, or you’re going to be arrested. I made him swear on a stack of Bibles.’
But this year, Kristen is also nominated for her smooch with muscle man Taylor Lautner, in the third Twilight flick, Eclipse.
Joking about the possibility of lovely Mr Lautner stealing his kissing crown, R-Patz told to MTV: ‘It’s almost worse than if you stop winning, like, acting awards or whatever. If you can’t kiss anymore, it’s like, “What? I’m still good at kissing!”‘
