Kristen Stewart has spoken to Marie Claire about love and life...

Ever since 2008, Kristen Stewart has been delighting Twilight fans with her 'are they/aren't they?' romance with costar Robert Pattinson. It seemed everyone was on the edge of their seats, constantly wondering about the status of their highly publicised relationship.

But as the gossip mill churned over the years, Stewart, 23, kept notoriously quiet about her private life. She became an expert at dodging journalists' prying questions - until now.

In a revelatory new interview with Marie Claire US, the actress gets surprisingly candid about her views on dating.

'You don't know who you will fall in love with,' she says in the March issue. 'You just don't. You don't control it.'

So what type of man is Kristen looking for, now that she's single again? It turns out she's not limiting herself with a specific type. 'Some people have certain things, like, "That's what I'm going for," and I have a subjective version of that,' she told Marie Claire US.

'I don't pressure myself... if you fall in love with someone, you want to own them - but really why would you want that. You want them to be what you love.'
