Kerry Katona is released on bail after 'punching her accountant'
Things have gone from bad to downright awful for Kerry Katona after news just in that the I’m A Celebrity star has been arrested for ‘punching her accountant’. The reality TV star apparently completely lost her temper during a meeting with her financial advisor, throwing a cup of tea over him and prompting her arrest for assault, committing criminal damage and a public order offence.
The 28-year-old has today been bailed for the incident.
Katona attended a meeting with her accountant David McHugh at his business premises earlier this week, when she lashed out over the state of her finances.
A Cheshire Police spokesman confirmed today: 'A 28-year-old woman has been released and granted police bail until 12 October at 9am pending further investigation.'
The ex-Atomic Kitten singer apparently completely lost control of her temper during the meeting to discuss her accounts, allegedly punching Mr McHugh and shouting: ‘You’ve ruined my life’.
According to reports Katona threw office equipment across her accountant’s office before laying into him.
Katona’s life has spiralled out of control in the past two weeks after news broke in a Sunday newspaper that the TV star had been filmed allegedly snorting cocaine in her own home, while her daughters were in another room.
The revelation cost Katona her £250,000-a-year TV contract as the face of supermarket Iceland, who dropped her following the scandal.
This week the 28-year-old was officially cautioned by police in connection with the unearthed video footage.
