  • Katy Perry looks tipped to take Kelly Rowland's place on the reality TV show

It’s that time of year again. X Factor auditions are set to begin soon but the line-up of the judging panel is still undecided, and sources say Kelly Rowland is ’95 per cent’ unlikely to return.

The former Destiny’s Child singer is the only star yet to confirm her place on the talent show, and the chances of her rejoining Gary Barlow, Tulisa Contostavlos and Louis Walsh on the judging panel are looking pretty slim, according to The Sun.

‘There’s a chance she could come back, but it looks increasingly slim. Money demands are not the main factor. Kelly didn’t connect with the audience as well as people hoped,’ a source told the newspaper.

With Kelly’s future on the panel looking uncertain, rumours have it that X Factor bosses are very keen to sign Katy Perry to the show but her hectic music schedule could be something of an obstacle.

A source told the Daily Mail: ‘Kelly was great in the auditions, but when she joined the live shows it just seemed that she didn’t really relax and enjoy herself. And to be honest, she wasn’t that popular with viewers. Hopefully, Katy Perry will have some kind of role on the series.’
