Prince William joked about having 'sleepless nights' when Kate Middleton's baby arrives…
Kate Middleton’s baby may still be two months away from arriving, but proud Prince William was quick to joke he’ll be in for some ‘sleepless nights’ when he or she is born.
The prince chatted to soldiers during a visit to a Help for Heroes’ recovery centre yesterday, and said he was ‘very much’ looking forward to the Duchess of Cambridge’s new arrival.
Speaking to Corporal Josh Boggi, William said he couldn’t wait to meet Kate Middleton’s baby, thought to be due on July 13.
‘Are you looking forward to it, sir?’ the soldier asked Prince William during his walkabout of the centre.
‘Very much so,’ William replied.
He quickly added: All the mothers have been looking at me, “just you wait, just you wait. Long sleepless nights”.’
Afterwards, the royal was handed a babygrow emblazoned with ‘My daddy’s a hero’ on the front.
We’re sure it’ll come in handy!
Last week Kate Middleton was spotted treating her baby bump to a sweet snack during a shopping spree at Chelsea Harbour.
Onlookers say the pregnant Duchess of Cambridge chowed down on an indulgent banana muffin and sipped on a cappuccino as she sat in the atrium at Chelsea Harbour’s Dome cafe.
Kate ‘sat in the atrium like everyone else’ and was ‘totally normal’ as she enjoyed a leisurely breakfast, one source revealed.
‘She just sat in the atrium like everyone else,’ the insider told American magazine, People. ‘She was very polite and really nice – just totally normal. I didn’t know it was her at first. I just thought, “You look a lot like Kate Middleton.” Then it kind of dawned on me.’
‘She had a cappuccino and a banana muffin,’ the onlooker added. ‘It’s not every day you see the future Queen of England sitting down in a café eating a muffin!’
