Kate Bosworth stars on the cover of Marie Claire UK's March issue....
Kate Bosworth reveals all about her marriage, style and her new role as a step mum in the new issue of Marie Claire UK, on sale today.
Married to director Michael Polish for 18 months now, Kate tells us that she’s happier than ever but reveals that when the couple first met on the set of Big Sur they were keen not to become just another cliché movie set fling.
‘There are so many people that hook up on movies, and you wonder if that’s real, so we didn’t go there,’ she tells us. ‘I think we were both experienced enough to know that if this was the real deal, we could wait to see what would happen.’
The couple did however get it together two months later, and Kate confides that when she and Michael did meet again, she instantly knew he was the one.
‘It hit me at about a million miles an hour – I almost fell off my chair. They always say, ‘you know when you know’, and I had found that quite frustrating my whole life. I thought, yeah, but how do you really know? But it’s true, he walked in and it hit me like nothing I’d ever felt before.’
Kate goes on to tell us all about her Montana ranch wedding (a cinema-worthy fairytale complete with wagon-style carriage, no less) but reveals that the couple aren’t quite ready to expand their family just yet.
‘I think we’re a few years away yet,’ she says. ‘We have a few more film babies we want to create first.’
