Julianne Hough is in good company, she follows Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling as she stars in the latest of Nicholas Sparks’ film adaptations – the man who brought us The Notebook and with it introduced us to Ryan.
Yep, we have a lot to thank him for! The latest of the author’s books to hit the big screen is Safe Haven with Julianne Hough and Josh Duhamel taking on the romantic leads.
In honour of the latest love story that’s set to melt our hearts, we caught up with Julianne to discuss what we can expect from the new film.

Julianne said: ‘Audiences will get the same elements they get from The Notebook - that love, that romance but now there’s a suspense and thriller aspect.
‘Safe Haven is all about second chances and finding a place where you can be yourself and be happy.’

While The Notebook may be most people’s favourite romantic film – predominantly because of Ryan Gosling, Julianne lists a different read.
She added: ‘I was always a huge fan of Nicholas Sparks growing up, A Walk To Remember was the first book I read as a teenager I loved the movie so much.’
