But the Holiday star is relieved he is free to concentrate on serious acting
Jude law has revealed he's relieved Robert Pattinson has taken his ‘Adonis' crown so he can concentrate on serious acting.
No stranger to starring as the love interest, the handsome Mr Law has played a string of dashing men in romantic films like The Holiday.
But recently he's been able to take on more demanding roles.
And the publicity-shy star has told a German newspaper it's all down to Robert Pattinson and a host of other young Hollywood stars.
‘If I have a look around at the moment I feel great relief because finally others are entering the limelight,' he said.
‘Men like Robert Pattinson must now play the Adonis. For me it was always a restraint, a restriction.'

The publicity-shy star added he felt being one of Hollywood's handsome heartthrobs detracted from his talent as an actor.
‘My goal was always to be recognised as a good actor but no-one was interested in that, simply because society just wants to warm towards your appearance,' he contined.
Luckily for Mr Law, there's whole host of hot young talent rising up the Hollywood ranks.
From Robert Pattinson to Taylor Lautner and Nicholas Hoult, there are endless choices for hot male leads.
So we reckon he should be able to escape the limelight safely.
