Dreamgirls Oscar winner to marry reality TV star
Jennifer Hudson has confirmed that she is engaged and has a Neil Lane diamond to prove it.
Life really is sweet for Hudson, who won an Oscar for Dreamgirls, landed the plum role of Carrie's assistant Louise in the Sex and the City movie and now, reports People magazine, is engaged to her boyfriend of less than a year, US reality TV star David Otunga.
Known as 'Punk' in the hit show I Love New York 2, Otunga is said to have popped the question last Friday, on Hudson's 27th brithday, producing an exquisite Neil Lane diamond ring, which elicited the desired response from the always glamorous rising star.
The only question left to answer may be when exactly will she be able to fit a wedding into her busy schedule? Hudson's debut solo album Jennifer Hudson is due out at the end of this month and her next film The Secret Life of Bees is set for release on 17 October.
