Get excited, Gleeks! Emmy nominations are in, and the special shows been nominating for an amazing 19 awards at the glittering ceremony.
Sweeping the board on announcement day, the all-singing, all-dancing US hit show was put forward for gongs in a range of different top categories, including Outstanding Guest Actor, Outstanding Supporting Actress, and Outstanding Supporting Actor.
Lovely Matthew Morrison (thats Mr Schester to you and me!) was put forward for Lead Actor, and Lea Michelle for Lead Actress.
The show has also been nominated for Best Comedy Series, but faces stiff competition from other comedy greats, including Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Office, Nurse Jackie, and three-time winner, 30 Rock.
Despite its stack of recommendations, Glee was pipped to the post in the nominations race by World War II miniseries, The Pacific, which features in a whopping 24 categories.
But well be on tenterhooks for a while, as we’ll have to wait for August to find out the results. Winners will be announced at the ceremony on 29 August.
