Girls Aloud set to reunite without Nadine

Will the five-piece become a four-piece when they reunite next year?

The rumours are rife that Girls Aloud are ready to reunite next year, but will it be without Nadine Coyle?

Cheryl Cole, Kimberley Walsh, Sarah Harding and Nicola Roberts are all reportedly set to get the band back together, but the only thing stopping them is Nadine, who reportedly wants no part in it.

A source told The Sun: 'It's been a painful decision for Sarah, Nicola, Kimberley and Cheryl but they have decided that the future of Girls Aloud lies without Nadine.'

'They've all been on a roller-coaster ride since 2002 and have just grown apart from Nadine' the source added. 'Relations with her had been strained within the camp for a while... the four remaining girls want to return on their own terms - and avoiding any squabbles is a high priority. That's why they have decided to go on without Nadine.'

The girls embarked on time out from the five-piece back in 2009, seven-years after forming on Popstars: The Rivals in 2002.

And while all the bandmates have been busy carving out their own careers, rumours of a Girls Aloud rift have been doing the rounds for months.

Roberts added fuel to the fire that Coyle was the source, when she admitted to Hello! in May that she and her bandmates hadn't spoken to Nadine in months; ‘If I'm really honest, we haven't spoken to Nadine since we did the Coldplay gig at Wembley in September,' she said.

'I talked to the other girls about it on Monday and no, none of us have heard from her.'

It's been believed that a reunion had been put on hold while Nadine worked on her first solo album, which is still to get a confirmed release date,
