TV presenter Denise Van Outen reveals she is expecting a daughter with husband Lee Mead, whom they have already nicknamed Teapot
Mum-to-be Denise Van Outen has revealed she is expecting a baby girl – codenamed Teapot.
The TV presenter, who gives an interview in Hello! Magazine this week, told the magazine her daughter with husband Lee Mead will have a ‘traditional’ name.
But for now the couple are affectionately referring to her as Teapot.
The 28-year-old added she is ecstatic to be expecting a girl: ‘I feel really content. I think finding out the baby’s sex has been the most euphoric, emotional part of the pregnancy.
‘It means we’re getting excited about the things that we’re going to do, like thinking, ‘Oh, I’ll be able to take her out and buy her a fairy costume’.’
She also revealed that she is taking extreme measures to look after her body throughout the pregnancy.
‘Lee has had to put up with me getting into bed every night completely covered in stretch mark creams and oils because I’m paranoid about getting stretch marks. I go to bed like a greasy chip.’
Denise also found time to gush about her love for Lee, whom she met on BBC talent show Any Dream Will Do and married last year in a secret Seychelles ceremony.
‘I could see straight away that he had all the qualities that would make a good father,‘ she said.
She added she would be having a natural birth in the Spring and hoped to have more babies in the future.
