The Camp Rock star cut short her tour with the Jonas Brothers to check into a medical treatment centre
Disney star Demi Lovato shocked fans yesterday by cutting short her tour with the Jonas Brothers to check into a medical treatment centre.
The 18-year-old split with middle brother Joe Jonas - who is now dating Twilight’s Ashley Greene - earlier this year.
And she was in Peru on tour with the boy band when she felt she couldn’t go on.
‘Demi Lovato left her tour early this weekend in order to seek medical treatment for emotional and physical issues she has dealt with for some time,’ a rep for Lovato said in a statement.
‘Demi has decided to take personal responsibility for her actions and seek help.
‘She is doing just that. She regrets not being able to finish her tour, but is looking forward to getting back to work in the near future.’

Although the statement didn’t specify the nature of Demi’s problems, it’s thought she has been battling demons for some time.
‘She was bullied in school. She fought through eating disorders and has struggled with cutting. … Demi is taking control by getting help,’ a family member told People.
Get well soon, Demi.
