David Beckham takes part in a live interview, and unintentionally hits back against one of Kanye West's recent rants.

David Beckham returned to his beloved Manchester last night as he took part in a live interview at the National Football Museum.

Answering questions about his sporting career, Victoria Beckham’s hubby shared some wise words that even Kanye West could learn from.

Kanye raised eyebrows earlier this week when he suggested being on tour was ‘like going to war’ in a recent radio interview.

Thankfully David stepped in with a big dose of perspective with separate comments, saying: ‘Pressure is going to Afghanistan and fighting. Playing football is fun, simple as that.’

Hear, hear!

Meanwhile Becks was full of praise for his sporty youngsters, but admitted he struggles to keep up with 11-year-old Romeo after retiring from professional football in May.

‘He's one of those annoying runners who always want to be one step in front of you. We ran three and a half miles and the third mile was the quickest of all of them. I was breathing hard.

‘He was a step ahead of me the whole way. My drive must have rubbed off on him. I was very proud of him.’

‘I just like to win, even if it's playing in the garden with my kids. I take it easy on them to a certain point, but they have got to learn to win,' he added. 'They do actually win most of the time, certainly when there are three of them against me. My parents had a great work ethic. It's about sacrifice and dedication.'

Nawh, we can just picture Victoria and Harper cheering them on!
