The songstress has signed a multi-million pound deal, and will leave the British show next year, according to reports
Simon Cowell is said to have signed the star up to appear on the American show when it launches next year, and has reportedly lined up ex-Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger for a role on the panel, after being impressed by her when she stood in for Cheryl last month.
It’s thought Cheryl could stand to make a fortune from the deal, as US networks have a far bigger budget than the UK, and plans to use the show to launch her career in Hollywood.
‘I would say it’s a good bet that Cheryl is coming to America,’ an insider told the Daily Mail.
‘It’s something that Simon and Cheryl have been discussing for months. You know, it’s a very exciting prospect for everyone involved to have Cheryl on board.’
The insider added that, after her traumatic year, Cheryl’s looking upon the move as a ‘new start’ and loves the idea of living in LA.
‘When Cheryl goes to America she will also launch her music career there too. It’s the next part of her big plan, she’s an incredibly hard worker and she will definitely get a boost by appearing on the X Factor, which is set to be a sure-fire hit.
And after striking the new deal, it seems more and more unlikely Cheryl will ever return to the UK show.
‘The X Factor will be off air in the UK next year and by the time it returns in January 2012, it is highly unlikely that Cheryl will return,’ the source added.
‘Cheryl loves Los Angeles and this is extremely exciting. It is all part of a fresh new start for her.’
