It's all over for Cheryl and Ashley Cole, as she calls in the divorce lawyers

It looks like things could get messy for Cheryl and Ashley Cole, with the Girl Aloud calling in the same divorce lawyer used by both Prince Charles and Paul McCartney.

The estranged couple reportedly met at their Surrey marital home over the weekend, although talks between the pair lasted just 20 minutes, before Cheryl kicked out the Chelsea footballer.

Now the Daily Mail claims that she has consulted lawyer Fiona Shackleton, but is yet to confirm whether she will be going ahead and hiring Ms Shackleton's firm to handle her split.

Shackleton has famously taken on some of the most high-profile divorce cases of the last ten years, including Prince Charles and Princess Diana, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, Paul McCartney and Heather Mills and Thierry Henry and wife Claire.

Should she take on the Cole Vs. Cole case, she'll reportedly be hammering out a quickie deal - the X Factor judge is rumoured to be keen to get the divorce over and done with as quickly as possible - with no children to consider and just four years together, the splitting of the pair's assets should prove straightforward.

A source revealed to the Daily Mail; 'Cheryl is being told she should not drag this through the courts. Lawyers for Ashley could build a case that she wasn't the perfect wife either.'
