Cheryl Cole reportedly agrees to counselling, but will she take Ashley back?
The Daily Mail has revealed that the X Factor judge has agreed to hear out her husband, after he pleaded for a second chance. The first session will apparently take place at the couple’s Surrey mansion next week.
The source divulged to the paper: ‘Cheryl has agreed to see a counsellor with Ashley to hear his issues. She think he deserves to be heard and understands how he could think that she let him down as a wife.
‘Of course, Cheryl is devastated and furious at what he’s done. But she accepts she owes it to their marriage to talk it through with him,’ they added.
The source even suggests that Cheryl is starting to sympathise with her errant husband: ‘She is starting to accept his claim that it is not solely his fault their marriage collapsed. He has managed to persuade her that he’s not a cad – more a victim of circumstance.’
‘She’s now starting to think he’s vulnerable and immature and easy prey for predatory women.’
The 29-year-old Chelsea footballer is currently holed up in a French sports rehabilitation clinic, where he’s receiving treatment for a broken ankle. He has been at the centre since news broke of the impending divorce, but hit the headlines yesterday after breaking his silence, saying ‘my life has been ruined‘.
