Angelina Jolie and babies check out of hospital
Angelina Jolie has checked out of hospital with her newborn twins, Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline, a week after giving birth to them. The hospital rep, Nadine Bauer, confirmed to People: 'Angelina Jolie left the Clinic Santa Maria of Fondation Lenval early in the morning of 19 July.'
Angelina, Knox and Vivienne, slipped out in a grey Volkswagen minibus at 4am, fooling journalists who were keeping a close eye on the rooftops, believing she would leave the same way she arrived – by helicopter.
At 9am, Dr. Michel Sussmann, who delivered the twins by Cesarean section on July 12, confirmed the family's departure, telling reporters: 'You can go home. The story is over.'
Angelina and the new arrivals left Lenval to join their sure-to-be excited siblings – Maddox, 6, Pax, 4, Zahara, 3, and Shiloh, 2 – at Chateau Miraval, the luxurious mansion in Correns that Jolie and partner Brad Pitt rented in May.
Bauer added that the couple were a pleasure to deal with, saying: 'We enjoyed having her and her family here very much.'
