  • The couple have reportedly shared news of Kim's pregnancy with family and friends

    Congratulations Andy and Kim!

Wimbledon champ Andy Murray is set to become a dad after he and wife Kim Sears are reportedly expecting their first child.

The couple are said to have announced their happy news to family and friends, according to The Sun.

Andy and Kim didn’t waste any time in starting a family, having just got married in April this year.

Scottish national treasure Andy, 28, chose Dunblane Castle as the setting for his fairytale wedding to girlfriend of ten years Kim four months ago.

Kim, a pet portrait painter and wearer of the world’s second best blow dry, wore a Jenny Packham gown fit for a princess on her big day while hubby Andy wore a traditional Scottish kilt.

The pair met during the US Open back in 2005 and have been inseparable ever since.

Sussex-born Kim has become something of a style icon, albeit with a rather tame reputation, but proved she is feistier than she looks at the Australian Open earlier this year.

During her then-fiancé’s semi-final win over Tomas Berdych Kim launched into a foul-mouthed tirade against the Czech tennis ace, which was caught on camera and promptly made headlines around the world.

Showing off her sassy side, the 27-year-old chose to wear a ‘Parental Advisory: Explicit Content’ jumper to Murray’s final match, which alas he lost.

Babies are clearly on everyone’s mind in Team Murray as the news comes days before Andy’s French coach Amelie Mauresmo is due to give birth to her first baby.

Andy and Kim are set to become parents in February, no doubt to the delight of his mum Judi who recently said she is “really looking forward to being a granny” and wants to play a “very active” role in her grandchild’s life.

Wonder if the Murrays will have a third generation of tennis whizz kids?
