Amy Winehouse arrested for possession of drugs

AMY WINEHOUSE HAS been arrested on suspicion of possessing drugs.

The troubled singer was being questioned in Norway last night after being arrested at a Norwegian hotel, where she is currently touring.

It is also believed that Amy's husband Blake Fielder-Civil may also be in custody.

The 24-year-old, who took a drug overdose in August, was arrested by police in Bergen's Radisson Hotel on a day off from performing.

A source close to the star said: 'Her management has been keeping a close eye on both her and Blake to try and ensure it was a trouble-free tour. They have mostly been holed up in their tour bus and have barely been going out.'

They went on to explain that the trouble started after Amy's manager left the singer in Copenhagen to fly back to London.

Insiders say the arrest happened after the police received a tip-off about someone trying to buy drugs.

A policeman involved in the arrest said: 'Drugs are frowned upon in Norway and any misuse will be taken very seriously indeed.'
