The 'Trainwreck' star claims her bed "folds into the wall"
Whilst comedy genius Amy Schumer may fast be becoming one of the biggest actresses on the planet that doesn’t mean that she’s minted just yet.
In fact the 34-year-old has revealed that despite being richer than most of her friends she still lives in a flat with a fold down bed. She told Radio 1’s Scott Mills: “I’m like the richest person I know and I have a one-bedroom and a walk up. My bed folds up into the wall and I iron there.”
Amy added: “Everyone says I’ll make money on the next thing but they’ve been saying that for 11 years.”
The comedienne is currently on the promotional trail for Trainwreck, which hits our screens on August 14th.
During the interview with Scott, Amy also revealed all about the time she attempted to prank Kim Kardashian and Kanye West by “fainting” in front of them on a red carpet. She said: “They knew I was an idiot and I completely respect their reaction. I don’t think they said anything. I think they looked at each other like “Let’s get out of here. This girl sucks.”’
We recently spoke to Amy about the film, which centres around the story of a commitmentphobe who unexpectedly falls in love with a doctor.
Amy said that she was inspired by the film Bridesmaids: “Bridesmaids made Trainwreck feel possible,” she revealed, “I was really inspired when I saw it. I went with a good friend of mine, who is also a female comic, and it felt like a big deal for us.”
Amy also revealed that the film was particularly close to her heart as she was falling in love whilst she was creating it. She said: “I was falling in love when I wrote Trainwreck. I tried to be honest because you think love is wonderful, but actually it’s scary. It makes you nauseous, it’s uncomfortable and like a drug you can’t get off.”
Last night Amy was in Berlin taking to the red carpet in a grey camisole style dress. She shared a picture of herself, along with her co-stars, walking the red carpet there to Instagram along with the caption: “D***heads in Berlin.”
