The I'm a Celeb star says that Gillian told her she fainted to get out of taking part in a Bushtucker Trial
Gillian McKeith's jungle antics had us well and truly glued to the screen during this year's I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here - but fellow camper Alison Hammond claims Gillian admitted to faking her fainting.
The former Big Brother contestant, who spent time with Gillian in the Australian jungle, has suggested that Gillian fainted to get out of taking part in yet another Bushtucker Trial.
Having apparently 'passed out' a total of three times during her time on the show, viewers began to doubt whether or not Gillian's phobias and fainting were in fact real - particularly after collapsing just before she had to take part in a trial on live TV.
'I'm not an uncaring person, but it was hard not to giggle when Gillian fainted,' Alison told Reveal magazine. 'I was so pleased because it meant we were going to eat.'
'But when I told her afterwards that I was glad she'd fainted, she just said, "I had to"
'If you want to call that faking it, then so be it.'
The star then continued to suggest that other aspects of Gillian's odd behaviour - including dramatically declaring that she was pregnant - were more premeditated than they appeared.
'I believed Gillian when she said she couldn't work the digger. I also believed that she had a phobia of bugs, but now I'm out and talking to people, I'm starting to think differently about her,' continued Alison.
'It seems like things she did were premeditated. Gillian's daughters knew the Jungle Gill song before she even sang it on the show, yet she said she made it up as she went along.
'She also knew to hide seasoning in her pants, yet she claimed she'd never seen the show before,' she added.
