Agyness Deyn splits from boyfriend

Supermodel Agyness Deyn has split up with rocker Albert Hammond Jr.

Agyess Deyn has split up with her rocker boyfriend Albert Hammond Jr. say sources in the US media.

The supermodel and the guitarist from the band the Strokes had been dating since last June and there were even rumours of an engagement.

But Agyness, 26, was spotted with a mystery man in Manhattan last weekend.

Agyness, from Manchester, moved to New York to live with Albert, 28, but despite the split, the couple is thought to want to stay friends.

A 'relationship obituary' in New York magazine published news of the break up in a light-hearted fashion.

'The Relationship between model Agyness Deyn and rocker Albert Hammond Jr. passed away recently, according to a source close to the deceased. It was less than one year old and, contrary to rumour, had not grown into an Engagement,' joked the magazine.

The 'obituary' continues; 'Over the course of its happy life, the Relationship was often photographed kissing or walking its dogs. The Relationship also appeared in a Valentine's Day spread for Vogue. It was after that photo shoot that the Relationship fell ill.'

Although the cause of the split is not revealed, the magazine claims the couple have decided to remain firm friends.

'The cause of death was by mutual agreement, and sources say the relationship already has been reincarnated as the friendship.’

Although Agyness has not confirmed the split, photos of her looking forlorn and pale in New York yesterday don't look much like a lady in love.
