Marc Jacobs gives the Princess the ultimate beauty honour...
We all know that Princess Charlotte is destined to be a fashion and beauty icon in good time. But we weren’t expecting the ‘Charlotte effect’ to kick in so soon, as, already, a designer lipstick has been made in her honour.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s 9 month-old daughter has been immortalised by Marc Jacobs, who has announced that his new line of lipsticks will include a shade dedicated to the royal baby.
Charlotte, who celebrates her first birthday in May, has only been seen a handful of times in public, but iconic designer MJ has clearly already been inspired by her beauty.
So what colour exactly is ‘Princess Charlotte’, you ask? The Charlotte Le Marc lip crème is a dark rose – a classic English pink available exclusively at Harrods, and priced at £24.
Marc Jacobs Beauty launched in the iconic department store last week, taking over three window displays and launching a Colour Hall in store, which will be available to visit for the rest of the month.
‘We wanted to commemorate this major brand milestone by creating a custom shade of Le Marc lip crème.’ Catherine Gore, global vice president and general manager of Marc Jacobs Beauty told WWD. The Charlotte colour was ‘inspired by the deepest saturated pink tones of an English rose,’ she added.

Duchess Kate is already one of the fashion and beauty world’s biggest influencers thanks to her famous blow dry and ability to pull off any dress coat and fascinator combo. And before she’s even turned one, the new Princess is following in her stylish mother’s footsteps. While the tot is pretty unlikely to be seen out and about in the shade any time soon,
