It's their 15th year working with breast cancer charities

By now you're probably aware that each year ghd teams up with Breast Cancer Now to launch a styler that helps raise vital funds for the charity.

To mark the 15th anniversary of their partnership, they've done things a little differently this year. They've teamed up with mastectomy tattoo artist David Allen, who helps rebuild the confidence of women affected by cancer through his tattoos.

'Cancer takes away more than your breasts; it takes your hair, your confidence. But my tattoo is something I decided to have because I wanted to take back control,' explains Grace Lombardo, one of David's clients. Like her tattoo, the straighteners are illustrated with the beautiful abstract flowers that David uses in his designs.

This year there are are two 'Ink On Pink' charity stylers on offer, both featuring David's designs: the Gold and the Platinum+. Each sale will donate £10 to Breast Cancer Now – and so far, the partnership has raised over £10 million globally for breast cancer charities.

'The connection with ghd and this partnership makes sense,' says David. 'When I work with my clients, it takes time, we build back their confidence together and these incredible women open up to me. Much like that time you spend with your hairstylist, that intimacy and power of transformation is akin to one another.'
