Cheryl Cole debuted a striking new hairstyle on Saturday's X Factor stage, ditching her extensions in favour of a shorter, choppier coiffure.
There were no doubt collective gasps in living rooms across the country on Saturday evening, as Ms Cole stepped onto the X Factor stage.
Gone were those famous long locks of hers, and in place was a textured, tousled long bob, sitting just above her shoulders.

The stylish star recently came under fire for appearing in L'Oreal adverts, with a-blink-and-you'll-miss-it, ‘styled with some natural extensions' written in the bottom corner of the screen.
Cheryl has never made secret her use of both human hair and acrylic extensions, but many fans complained, claiming that the advert was misleading.

So, whether this had something to do with her latest makeover, or whether she just fancied a change - CC decided that the time was up for the X-tensions, which reportedly cost a cool £700 at a time.
But we're willing to bet a certain Dannii Minogue is somewhat miffed by the attention Ms Cole's barnet is receiving.
Having wowed us with a vast array of incredible ever-changing hairstyles over this series of the X Factor, Dannii's attempts have gone and been well and truly trumped by her fellow judge - and on semi-final week no less!
