This is the area of the UK that has the most sex

Bad news if you live in the south west...

We recently revealed how often the average Brit has sex each week, but why stop there? Why not pit all of the major regions of the UK against one another?

Well, a recent poll has done just that (thanks to the Huffington Post for alerting us to this). Findings from biggestfreebets.com indicate that those who live in the north east get laid the most, averaging a total of 17 times per month. Who knew they got so much action?

The south west, however, only racking up a total of twice a month in the sex statistics. Maybe they only do it fortnightly at the most popular time of the week to have sex, or perhaps, their priorities lay elsewhere (Netflix, probably).

You probably think London would be somewhere near the top of the leader board, but they're decidedly 'average', racking up seven notches on their bedposts each month.

Meanwhile the south east has sex 15 times a month, the East Midlands and Northern Ireland 14 times, and Wales 10 times a month.

Bringing up the rear, ahem, are Scotland and the north east, who manage about once a week or four times a month.

Who knew action varied so much between regions?
