Beaujolais Cuvée des Vignerons, £4.99, Waitrose
This wine is great for easy and relatively inexpensive weekend drinking. Made from the Gamay grape just south of the Burgundy region in France, it is light-bodied with vibrant cherry and raspberry flavours. It doesn’t offer the heaviness or complexity of older, richer wines, but at its price it’s certainly quaffable.
