Marie Claire's Caroline Garland heads to the coast to try Cleethorpes new gourmet burger joint
0° North is Cleethorpes's newest bar and burger joint. Home to burgers such as the The Meat Monster (2 beef patties, home-made pulled pork, maple streaky bacon, American cheese, BBQ sauce, red slaw, crispy onion and romaine lettuce) and the Krispy Kreme de la creme which is literally a burger sandwiched inside a crispy creme donut with maple bacon, a runny fried egg and Swiss cheese - this is a taste sensation for those with a sweet tooth!
The quality of the meat is evident from the first bite - nothing added, nothing taken away as the hunk of chuck steak is minced and made in to patties on site. As a bonus, all of the meals are served with rosemary and sea salt infused home-made fries; these are absolutely delicious and very moreish. Craft beers feature heavily in 0° North along with Frizenti and the ever-popular Rekorderlig on tap. There's a small cocktail menu where each of the cocktails are served in their own glass - The Moscow Mule in a copper cup stays icy cold to the end. Once food service has ended the bar really gets rocking with DJs and bands such as The Weisers.
There's also a 'City style' pop up day coming soon where there will be local art work on display, vintage and new clothes, a Caribbean inspired BBQ and DJs from the 'Vinyl Saturday's' crew all day long. If you're local to Lincolnshire or fancy popping 'up North' then you won't be disappointed at 0° North.
