Kate Middleton's best ever high street looks (and where to buy them)
Your complete guide to the Duchess' fave affordable brands
Your complete guide to the Duchess' fave affordable brands
Kate Middleton is know for mixing high street brands with designer items, thus nailing that hi-low fashion most of us can only dream of (note the £40 Zara dress she wore to the polo, and the elegant Royal wedding McQueen dress that she definitely didn't recycle).
But while we've already brought to you the complete guide of the Duchess of Cambridge's favourite fashion brands, it was more about the pricier end of her wardrobe, which includes the likes of Jenny Packham and Erdem.
So we thought it was about time we did a little rundown of Kate's best high street looks, and where to buy the exact same item, or near enough.
Kate Middleton wearing Zara
The Duchess is a huge fan of the Spanish high street chain, having recently worn not one, but two £40 dresses at Royal events. She's previously worn statement jewellery and jackets from Zara too

Kate Middleton wearing L.K.Bennett
Kate has single-handedly boosted nude court sales everywhere, thanks to her love for the style by L.K.Bennett, which she has worn at countless events. She'll often turn to the brand for smart day dresses and tailored coats too.
Shop now: SLEDGE TRENCH PATENT LEATHER PLATFORM COURTS for £195 from RETAILER
Kate Middleton wearing Hobbs
During her pregnancy with Prince Louis, Kate wore a smart navy coat by Hobbs, which serves up other timeless classics like the green skirt suit the Duchess wore the year before.
Shop now: Kira Jacket for £84 from Hobbs
Kate Middleton wearing Boden
Kate made headlines back in January 2018, when she wore the most vibrant red coat, courtesy of British brand Boden. It's actually still available in a couple of sizes, and has been reduced in the sale.
Shop now: Lena coat for £132 from Boden
Kate Middleton wearing GAP
When she's in need of something a little more casual, like a parka jacket or trousers, the Duchess likes to shop at GAP. She wore these printed skinny trousers in 2016, and here's the brand's version for this season.
Shop now: Gingham Skinny Ankle Pants for £30.99 from GAP
Kate Middleton wearing Reiss
Reiss is known for paired-back, tailored dresses, and so is an obvious choice for Kate when it comes to official functions that don't quite require the traditional ballgown. She famously wore this nude dress to meet the Obamas after coming back from her honeymoon.
Shop now: SELIKA ONE-SHOULDER COCKTAIL DRESS for £90 from Reiss
Kate Middleton wearing Topshop
Kate first publicly wore Topshop during her first pregnancy in 2013, a black and white polka dot dress which sold out instantly. The same thing happened when she wore a boho dress while on tour in India in 2016. Luckily, polka dots are back in season, and you can buy this similar style from Topshop.
Shop now: Shirred Strappy Midi Dress for £29 from Topshop
Kate Middleton wearing Goat
Kate absolutely loves a smart Goat coat, and actually owns a similar style in every colour, including cream, black, navy and red (and that's the ones we've spotted). Clearly an investment piece.
Shop now: Goat Redgrave coat for £600 from Farfetch
Kate Middleton wearing Superga
For those rare times Kate Middleton does require a trainer, she's often spotted wearing her trusty Superga shoes, which were actually a favourite of Diana's too.
Shop now: Superga 27150 for £60 from ASOS

Penny grew up in France and studied languages and law at the Sorbonne Nouvelle University in Paris before moving to the UK for her MA in multimedia journalism at Bournemouth University. She moved to the UK permanently and has never looked back (though she does go back regularly to stock up on cheese and wine).
Although she's always loved fashion - she used to create scrapbooks of her favourite trends and looks, including Sienna Miller and Kate Moss' boho phase - her first job was at MoneySavingExpert.com, sourcing the best deals for everything from restaurants to designer sales.
However she quit after two years to follow her true passion, fashion journalism, and after many years of internships and freelance stints at magazines including Red, Cosmopolitan, Stylist and Good Housekeeping, landed her dream job as the Digital Fashion Editor at Marie Claire UK.
Her favourite part of the job is discovering new brands and meeting designers, and travelling the world to attend events and fashion shows. Seeing her first Chanel runway IRL at Paris Fashion Week was a true pinch-me moment.
