Why we can't stop watching the Eddie Redmayne Hufflepuff PSA

'They call us boring.' 'They call us beige.'

Let us give you the Harry Potter-themed motivational video you need in your life. All eyes are on Eddie Redmayne, the lead star of JK Rowling's Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them and quite possibly, the most likeable man in real life and on the big screen. Yes, you can expect all the same magic from this Harry Potter spin-off with Eddie leading the cast (think a hidden wizarding world within 1920s New York city.)

But what everyone is talking about today is the public service announcement-style video that Eddie's released in defence of being a Hufflepuff. It's enough to make the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry Hufflepuff house founder Helga proud.

Of all the Hogwarts houses, the Hufflepuff have the rep of being 'nice' and 'diligent.' Where the Gryffindors are heroes of intense bravery, the Slytherins are sexy villains and the Ravenclaws are epic masterminds. The poor Hufflepuffs are never the hero and their name does resemble that of a Pokemon.

So, Eddie standing up for the underdog is invigorating, heart-wrenching and will be the viral video you end up watching on repeat this week because he's adorable. Currently starring as wizard Newt Scamander, who was a member of Hufflepuff before he was expelled from Hogwarts, it's no surprise he feels an affinity to the house:

'They call us boring. They call us beige. They say we’re the nice guys. But you know what? Do you know what I see in Hufflepuffs? I see loyalty. I see fierce friendship. We are hardworking, we are compassionate, and at the end of the day, we’re going to do the right thing. And not because of the glory. Not because of the glory, but for the greater good.'

Oh, and that's not even the half of it. He even (almost) swears in it and announces that Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson (AKA People Magazine's sexiest man alive this year) is also a Hufflepuff.

Sign us up as a Hufflepuff, we say...
