Our ultimate guilty pleasure Made In Chelsea is back on our screens tonight - so we caught up with its unashamedly lavish star Mark Francis-Vandelli, who talked us through his fabulous insta grub snaps...
‘Personally I find photographing food horrific,’ cries Made In Chelsea’s man about town Mark Francis-Vandelli, ‘but sweet things always look nice. And the tiramisu at Cecconi’s is so, so good. I live there, it’s my canteen. I always speak to the waiters in Italian; they’re the best.’
‘Caviar Kaspia is one of the few places in Paris that remains pretty good. They make blinis in front of you and they’re fantastic. On a Sunday night there’s nothing nicer than a baked potato and caviar.’
‘Oh my god, I live on anything sweet – pudding, cake… it’s my absolute weakness. This was a pavlova at La Societe in St Germain in Paris, a cute place to stop for lunch if you’re shopping in the area.’
‘Food is everything to me. I eat out in London three times a day and go Scott’s every couple of weeks. It’s a comfort food place and their dover sole is really good.’
‘This is Annabel’s take on a Whiskey Sour, which I love. If I’m at Cipriani I’ll have a Bellini because it’s like one of your five a day, if I’m at Mr Chow I’ll have the Lychee Martini. One drink leads to the next – I can’t even remember this.’
‘You don’t often find beef carpaccio with truffles but this was at Harry’s Bar. I love anything with truffle, which is weird because as a child I used to detest it. If we walked into a restaurant and someone was eating truffle we’d have to leave. I had a complete phobia.’
‘I always have breakfast at Café Colbert in Sloane Square. It’s right by my house, so it’s a home from home really. I’d normally just have a pastry and a cappuccino, but that day my friend ordered so I was like, “OK…”.’
