It has been announced that the youngest member of the Kardashian-Jenner clan, Kylie Jenner, is expecting a baby with boyfriend Travis Scott.

The news emerged this weekend, breaking just as the family celebrate the ten year anniversary of their hit E! show Keeping Up With The Kardashians, with their special anniversary episode airing on Sunday.

A source confirmed to PEOPLE that the 20-year-old reality star is expecting a daughter with her rapper boyfriend, with the Kylie Cosmetics founder said to be due in February.

'They started telling friends a few weeks ago,' explained the source. 'The family has known for quite some time. She is really excited and so is Travis.'

'It is an unexpected but completely amazing turn of events that she could not be more excited or thrilled about', another source added. 'Everyone is overjoyed for her. This is the happiest she’s ever been.'

Kylie has spoken before about having children, confiding in parent Caitlin Jenner about the topic during an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians earlier this year.

‘What do you feel like is a good age to have kids?’ she asked Caitlin, who advised 30 was the ideal age.

‘I feel like 30 is too late,’ Kylie replied, going on to explain, ‘Every psychic said I’m only going to have two kids’.

The baby news comes as a surprise to fans, with the 20-year-old thought to have only broken up with her ex-boyfriend Tyga in April.

'Kylie broke up with Tyga partly because she felt too young to get serious,' a source explained to PEOPLE. 'Now she’s having a baby with a guy she just started dating. People around her are really surprised. It happened really fast, but for Kylie, being with Travis is so different than anyone else. She’s so in love with him. She’s really excited.'
