Mel Gibson was arrested in July 2006 for drink driving, and then made things far worse for himself when he unleashed a tirade of anti-Semitic abuse at police officers. Robert Downey Jr.'s career has been plagued by drug offences, often overshadowing his film and television work. He served his first prison sentence on drugs charges in August 1999, which lasted for one year.
