You'll never throw out those little eyeshadow applicators ever again

It seems like there's a never ending pool of beauty hacks to be discovered (this lip balm trick will blow your mind), which is part of the reason why we love this industry so damn much! Just when you think you know all the hacks to end all hacks, a new one comes out and changes the game. Which is where the latest one comes in...

You know those little sponge applicators that come with your eyeshadow palette? Normally you throw them out, right? Well, don't. They may not work wonders for applying eyeshadow, but there's a clever way of using them that you didn't know until now.

According to make-up experts, they're amazing when it comes to applying smokey-effect eyeliner. They pick up just the right amount of product and diffuse it in a way that eyeliner brushes can't, plus the small handle makes them super easy to use. All you have to do is swipe the applicator through a dark eyeshadow and then run it along your top lash line for a sultry look. Think of it as a free eyeliner smudger.

You can also get a pretty killer line when you turn the sponge on its side and drag the thin edge along your lash line. But that's not all, they're also great at blending your foundation in those hard to reach areas, like next to your nose and under your eyes. Because they're quite small and fine, they're able to get into places your beauty blender can't without smudging the rest of your make-up, so you can easily touch up any small areas and keep the rest of your make-up perfect.
