Gucci's Frida Giannini will create costumes for Florence and the Machine's upcoming Ceremonials shows

The fashion love affair between Florence Welch and Gucci continues, with the fashion house announcing that it will create the singer's tour wardrobe once more.

Gucci's creative director, Frida Giannini, will design a series of autumn/winter 2012 outfits for the British songstress for Florence and the Machine's upcoming Ceremonials tour, which kicks off on 14th September in Boston and includes dates across the US, Mexico and Europe.

It's the second time that Gucci has dressed the star for her live shows. Last year, the Milan-based label created her outfits for her North America gigs.

Giannini said of the new collaboration: 'Seeing Florence evolve as an artist since her last tour has been truly inspiring, and I was delighted to work with her on this new wardrobe. For her on-stage style, we wanted to create a romantic yet modern aesthetic for Florence to interpret with her dark glamour and dramatic sensuality.'

Welch added in a statement: 'I was immediately drawn to the drama of the collection when I first saw it on the runway. I am so grateful to Frida and feel very fortunate to be collaborating with Gucci once again.'

The announcement follows a long-time partnership between the singer and the Italian fashion house. As well as the two tour wardrobes, Florence has often been pictured wearing pieces by the label for live performances and events, including a gold and black Jazz Age-inspired dress from the spring/summer 2012 collection for an appearance on Jools Holland's music show, a burgundy halter neck gown for a TV performance in the US and a bronze-hued fringed dress for a pre-Grammy party early last year.
