Angelina Jolie is featured on the cover of W magazine breastfeeding her newborn twins – in hauntingly beautiful pictures shot by Brad Pitt himself.

Angelina warmly smiles at the camera – and her lover – as she breastfeeds one of her newborn twins, with the tiny fingers peeking out serving as the only evidence she is doing so.

The mum-of-six allowed herself to be photographed for a series of intimate portraits set to appear in an upcoming issue of the cult American magazine.

According to the Daily Mail, the shoot took place in mid-August in the backyard of their luxury French chateau, while the actress was taking time out of the spotlight to be full-time mum to new arrivals Vivienne and Knox.

In the magazine interview, Angelina reveals that she feels sexier now that she’s a mum than ever before – and that’s all down to Brad.

‘I'm with a man who's evolved enough to look at my body and see it as more beautiful, because of the journey it has taken and what it has created,' she says.   

'He genuinely sees it that way. So I genuinely feel even sexier.'

Angelina also reveals that Brad was the reason why she decided to become a biological mother – something she had vowed she’d never do.

‘I think one of the life changing things that he did, one of many, is that I was absolutely never going to get pregnant. I never felt that it was the right thing to do,’ she explained.

But seeing Brad be dad with adopted children Maddox and Zahara, changed her view: 'I knew that he would never see them as different, and that gave me a certain peace.  

'I suppose I just looked at him and loved him and just felt open to [getting pregnant]. I suddenly wanted to. It's one of those things you can't explain.'

She continued: 'I'm just a mum and I'm very grounded by my family. I'm very happy, and I'm so lucky.

'The world can like me, hate me, fall apart around me, and at least, you know, I wake up with my little kids and I'm happy.'

Meanwhile, the family yesterday headed to France after a brief stop in the US, where Brad and Angelina attended the NY premiere of her new movie, The Changeling, before making a Pitt-stop in New Orleans to check on their charity building project.

What a cute couple they make.

This is such a great picture. i have been reading about the pictures being controversial, that is such rubbish. This is a beautiful picture of a mother embracing her role. People can hate Angelina all they want but pls leave this photo out of it!

Ask any "normal" mum, i.e one who doesn't have the luxury of being surrounded by millions and having the added luxury of being able to say yay or nay to whatever assistance is on offer 24/7, and ask her whether she can wallow amongst Health Visitors, sore boobs - sore being a total understatement - general day to day minute in.

She looks great! There have been so many negative stories in the press about how she 'can't cope' with her children that it's really nice to see a positive story from the couple themselves. It's great to see breastfeeding normalised by such a high-profile couple too.

I love this photo it is the most natural thing in the world breastfeeding and well done Angelina for showing it maybe now we will stop hearing how dreadful it is for a new mum to feed in public.

Good on her for showing that even those most in the public eye for whatever reason are still human, and this new Mum is enjoying doing something most natural for her babies.
