Keira Knightley crowned queen of the night at the Variety Club Showbiz Awards
A HOST OF British stars hit the red carpet last night for the annual Variety Club Showbiz Awards.
A radiant Keira Knightley was the star of the night, taking home the prestigious award for Film Actress of the Year, for her much-talked-about performance in Atonement. The 22-year-old shone in a petrol blue buttonless, full-skirted shirt dress.
Whilst Welsh opera star Katherine Jenkins scooped the Classical Performer of the Year award and turned up the glamour stakes in a black floaty chiffon gown, with sheer cut-outs.
The evening, hosted by Myleene Klass, saw Philip Glenister win for his performance in Life on Mars and Parky pick up the Bernard Delfont award for Outstanding Contribution to Showbusiness.
The awards will be broadcast on Sky One on 25 November.
