Star Wars 7: Lupita Nyong’o And Gwendoline Christie Are Confirmed

It's been confirmed that Lupita Nyong'o and Gwendoline Christie will star in JJ Abrams' Star Wars: Episode 7

The buzz surrounding Star Wars 7 continues to grow as it’s confirmed Lupita Nyong’o and Gwendoline Christie have joined the cast.

We’d heard the rumours that the 12 Years A Slave actress was set to star in the upcoming Star Wars movie, but she’s now confirmed it herself via her Instagram page, writing: ‘I can finally say it out loud and proud: I’m going to a galaxy far far away!’

She will join Game of Thrones star Gwendoline Christie and the original Star Wars trio Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher, along with John Boyega, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac and Domhnall Gleeson.

We don’t yet know which characters Lupita and Gwendoline will play, but we do know that filming has already begun in London and the expected release date is 18 December 2015.
