    Apparently there's actually a pattern

Chances are you ditched your personal lucky numbers for a lucky dip ages ago when it comes to the lottery.

But, you might want to rethink everything you thought you knew about randomness and probability because an analysis of the lottery over the past year has revealed the numbers that are most frequently drawn - and number 16 is apparently the one that pops up the most.

The study, conducted by online lottery platform Jackpot.com, looked into over 1,500 draws across 15 international lotteries including EuroMillions, UK Lotto, US Powerball and Irish Lotto.
