Millionaire at mansion fire caught on CCTV camera with rifle

Forensic scientists are studying the remains of a third body found at the Shropshire home of millionaire businessman, Christopher Foster.

It is believed the third body is that of Foster's 15-year-old daughter, Kirstie, but detectives have refused to confirm reports.

The arson investigation has turned into a murder inquiry after it was discovered Foster's wife, Jill, had been shot dead before the fire at the mansion started.

Police are working on the theory that Foster, who was £2 million in debt, shot his family and pets and set the mansion on fire, before turning the gun on himself.

CCTV footage has emerged from Foster's own cameras which shows him carrying a rifle leaving his burning stable block where three horses had been shot dead.

Foster was then seen running back to the main house where his 49-year-old wife Jill and his daughter, Kirstie, were already dead.

Detectives believe Foster's spiralling debts may be to blame for a breakdown, as his pip insulating company was in liquidation.

One sourced said: 'In the end his state of mind must have been, 'If I can't have all this nobody will'. He adored his wife and daughter so he must have been in a terrible mental state to do what he did.'

Mr Foster's brother Andrew commented: 'It is a very difficult time for us all and we are all in a terrible state of shock. Chris is my brother and I can't imagine he would do anything wrong. I've been asked not to say anything at this stage until we know more.'
