The makes of a Fifty Shades of Grey porn movie are suing the original film’s producers

Fifty Shades of Grey movie – the alternative version, has already hit screens although it’s unlikely it will be shown at your local cinema. There are two reason for this, the first is that it is a porn parody of the original text and secondly, Universal who will make the mainstream film are suing Smash Pictures who created the blue movie.

TAYLOR LAUTNER IS LATEST NAME LINKED TO FIFTY SHADES OF GREY MOVIE

Universal are suing the makers of Fifty Shades of Grey: A XXX Adaptation for copyright and trademark infringement as they now own the official rights to E.L James’ hugely popular texts.

While they attempt to stop the Fifty Shades of Grey blue movie from going any further, The Hollywood Reporter state that Smash Pictures are now counter suing Universial. The porn producer’s argument is that the Fifty Shades of Grey story belongs to the public domain because it was originally published as fan fiction on a website.

For those not au fait with Fifty Shades of Grey (where have you been?) the novels began as Twilight fan fiction which is where Smash Pictures claim ‘as much as 89% of the content of the allegedly copyrighted materials grew out of a multi-part series of fan fiction called Masters of the Universe.’
