Drew Barrymore and Helena Christensen both paid tribute to the British designer in their own way, by wearing the same Alexander McQueen dress. But who won the game of style snap?
With the sudden and sad news of Lee McQueen’s tragic death last week, it comes as little surprise to see a sudden influx of his designs hitting the catwalk and red carpet.
However, Drew Barrymore was first to rock this striking frock, wearing it way back in October – to the Whip It film premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival.
The actress teamed the black and yellow prom dress with black satin peep-toes, a pop of pink on her lips and off-the-wall two-tone hair colour.
Then, fast forward several months, and Helena Christensen also donned the very same dress – as part of a moving tribute to the late designer, during the Fashion for Relief catwalk show in New York this weekend.
The super showcased a slightly shorter version of the dress, and teamed it with heavily-kohled eyes, simple black courts and sexy, tousled locks.
Two stars, one dress. But, fashion fans, who gets your vote? Let us know your thoughts in the comments box below!
